Description
This dataset is produced by Public Health England. The causal links between obesity and physical activity are subject to some debate, however there is a clear relationship between the two measures. Child obesity is measured at two life stages– Reception age and Year 6. There are a number of different indicators that are collected in relation to obesity, the measure shown in this dataset is;
- Prevalence of overweight (including obesity)
This measure has been selected as it’s regarded as the most widely used and is consistent with the Black Country Economic Intelligence Unit’s Performance Management Framework. Black Country level data is not available for this indicator.
