Commentary
Whilst the prevalence of depression across Black Country and West Birmingham is slightly below the national average, Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton all have higher rates that the rest of the country. Given the impact that active lifestyles could potentially have on rates of depression, the importance of this being communicated to the wider workforce, with all community touchpoints being armed with the correct information regarding the importance of physical activity, is key to the region’s wider health and wellbeing.
