This dataset, produced by the Skills Funding Agency, provides a breakdown of the number of Sport, Leisure and Recreation apprenticeship starts by level for each Local Authority area. Commentary

There were no ‘Higher’ apprenticeship starts in Sport, Leisure and Recreation in 2017-18 and total apprenticeship across this sector only account for around 2% of all apprenticeships in the Black Country. However, this does not account for the Community Sport and Health Officers deployed across schools in Wolverhampton as part of a partnership approach involving Active Black Country, ConnectEd and the City of Wolverhampton Council; these apprentices would count under the ‘Education’ sector.
