Summary of Findings
Data collected over from two years of the Active Lives Adult and Children Surveys were combine and a sample of 49,000 adults and 57,700 children selected. The report shows the people from Asian, Black and Chinese backgrounds are far more likely to be physically inactive than those who are White. People from these ethnic groups are also far less likely to volunteer in sport and enjoy the benefits associated with it. The full report looks into some of the possible reasons for this such as socioeconomic factors and cultural differences.
