A range of the National Partners have worked together to produce ‘Top Tips’ guidance for the use of the Primary PE and Sport Premium funding for this academic year.
Maintained schools, including those that convert to academies, MUST publish, on their website, information about their effective and sustainable use of the Primary PE and sport premium funding.
The reporting deadline for this current academic year is 31st July 2022. Please Note: Due to disruption caused by Covid-19 the Department for Education (DfE) has given permission for schools to ‘carry over’ all underspend. However, schools must report on all spending incurred in this academic year by 31st July 2022.
In addition schools must also report on their swimming data by 31st July 2022 outlining the attainment against the following three national curriculum requirements for swimming and water safety.
1. What percentage of your current Year 6 cohort swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres?
N.B. Even though your pupils may swim in another year please report on their attainment on leaving primary school at the end of the summer term 2022.
2. What percentage of your current Year 6 cohort use a range of strokes effectively [for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke]?
3. What percentage of your current Year 6 cohort perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations?
