Active Black Country is part of the national network of Active Partnerships.

We are principally funded by Sport England to work with local partners to create opportunities for people to be physically active, move more & play sport. We work with a diverse range of partners and manage several grant funding programmes & projects that aim to create opportunities for local people to be active.

To support the implementation of our programmes & projects we are seeking to appoint an Insight Programme Officer to assist with our Implementation Plan and communications/PR around our programmes and projects. We are looking to appoint a programme officer who has the ability to extract key insights and learnings from our monitoring and evaluation processes to produce meaningful case studies and thematic reports that align with ABC’s strategic objectives.

This is a rewarding role that will suit someone who enjoys working with a range of partners and has some data management and report writing experience.

You will need to have excellent organisational and time management skills, with an ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines as and when required, managing a number of projects at the same time.

The role will be based out of our offices in Halesowen, operating on a hybrid basis with some home-based working incorporated.

Active Black Country encourages diversity to maximise achievements, good practice, innovation and impact, and we aim to ensure our organisation reflects the communities we aim to serve. We especially welcome applicants from under-represented or marginalised groups including, but not limited to, people from ethnically diverse communities and those with a disability or long-term health condition.

Please see the role description & person specification.

To apply:

1. Please submit an up to date CV and an expression of interest explaining why you are interested in this role, detailing how you are a good candidate for this post and how you fulfil the person specification – we recommend that this is no longer than two pages.

2. The declaration form – but completion of the equalities section is not mandatory, this is requested for monitoring purposes in line with our commitment to equality and diversity;

3. Please submit your expression to enquiries@Activeblackcountry.co.uk

Closing Date: 6th December 2024

We will be looking to hold interviews during week commencing 9th December 2024.

For an informal discussion on any aspect of the role please contact Mark Bisson (ABC Strategic Communications Lead.) mark.bisson@activeblackcountry.co.uk

We are always keen to work with applicants to make it easier for you to join the team. We can make adjustments where needed, perhaps due to a disability or sensory impairment or with digital access.
