Voluntary groups encouraged to apply for #YES Funding

Voluntary groups who work with children and young people in Wolverhampton are being encouraged to apply for funding to deliver activities, workshops and projects.

Funding is available for projects which meet any of the three priorities featured in the city’s Youth Engagement Strategy (#YES) – Being Healthy, Being Connected and Being You.

The application process is open until Friday 30 April. To find out more and download application forms, please visit www.youthengagementstrategy.co.uk.

Mark Taylor, City of Wolverhampton’s Council’s Deputy Chief Executive said:

I would encourage any voluntary organisation in Wolverhampton which provides services to young people and meets the application criteria to apply for this funding. It is an opportunity for local organisations to get support to provide activities that will benefit young people in the city.”

If you wish to submit an application form, or have any queries on the application process, please contact yes@wolverhampton.gov.uk.

The funding has been announced by the Youth Engagement Strategic Board, which comprises representatives from different youth voice groups in the city, such as Wolverhampton Youth Council, Culture & Diversity Group, HY5 (SEND Forum), Children In Care Council (CiCC) and the Local Youth Ambassador Groups.

The board, which was launched in November 2020, is supported by the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Coproduction and Youth Engagement Team and plays an integral role in ensuring that #YES is delivered in coproduction with young people and other voluntary organisations across the city.
