Black Country businesses encouraged to support Christmas social media campaign

To celebrate the diversity and strength of business in the Black Country, and the success stories we are proud of, we are launching a social media campaign in the run up to Christmas to highlight the achievements of Black Country businesses, people and initiatives.

The Black Country LEP is encouraging local businesses and individuals to tweet about things that they want to celebrate or are proud of in the Black Country.

From 1 December, the LEP will be launching its own ‘virtual advent calendar’ of daily tweets in support of the campaign and would like local businesses to:

  • Identify something they are proud of
  • Post a tweet including a picture to Twitter
  • Include the hashtag #celebrateBlackCountry

On its own, a single tweet holds little power, but a range of tweets from companies celebrating the Black Country and their roots will be noticeable, generating interest in the participating accounts and the wider message.

Let’s spread some Christmas cheer and celebrate the Black Country!

For further details on the campaign, please email Katherine Birch or Joanne Booker.
