Final call to get afloat as Black Country 'Push the Boat Out' sets sail

The final countdown to ‘Push The Boat Out’ is ON as seven sailing clubs and centres across the Black Country are ready for you and your family to try sailing for FREE or low cost between 14 - 22 May.

The seven Black Country clubs and centres ready to help you Push The Boat Out are Aldridge SC on The Swag at Barns Lane, Walsall Outdoor Pursuits at Sneyd Lake, Dudley SC on Lodge Farm Reservoir, Himley Hall SC in Himley Park, Sandwell Valley SC near West Bromwich, South Staffs SC near Penkridge and Greensforge SC at Calf Heath Reservoir.

Events can include dinghy sailing, windsurfing, bigger boats, sailing for the disabled and even powerboat rides, and although each event is different, all are geared to appeal to as many people as possible, regardless of age, ability or experience.

All you will need to get afloat is some comfortable clothes and old trainers you don’t mind getting wet and, weather depending, a waterproof and/or sunscreen. Buoyancy aids, equipment and safety brief will be provided by the venues and refreshments will be available.
